 The
Hatfield & McCoy Trail System has made its way to Downtown Historic
Matewan and is now open. The Town of Matewan has been designated as
an official Trail Destination Community. Matewan is
the only Town where ATV rider on the trail can ride the trail right into
the heart of the town, park there ATV's and enjoy all that Matewan has to
offer. Matewan is located at the end of Trail #10, where by means of
a town ordnance, an ATV rider may turn left on Mate Street and enter the
the Town of Matewan and proceed to a designated free parking lot (located
beside City Hall) and park his or her ATV in a safe parking lot next door
to the police department. Matewan has alot to offer the Hatfield
& McCoy ATV Trail rider, from clean restroom in city hall to a home
cooked meal at the Matewan Depot restaurant. So, stop by and enjoy
the fine hospitality that the folks of Matewan plan to extend to each and
every ATV trail rider.
